Hey there, new joiner from Alberta.

I have experience with a few different levels of assault rifles and LMG/GPMG, but not fired any rounds in a long time, probably over a decade. Getting my PAL and hopefully PALR mid late November.

Looking to take advantage of the Canadian wilderness and eventually do some hunting, but for now i'll probably limit myself to rezeroing my brain on the range. Once i figure out whether i want something like .308 or a .22LR.

I'll be lurking a lot more than posting until i think i have something to contribute.

I've already lurked a bit, after stumbling over the site thanks to Google, so thanks to all. Even threads that a couple of years old can have some useful info for someone new to the civilian side of owning a firearm in Canada.

you'll NEED both- the 308 is for big game, like deer, moose, elk, bear and cougar, and the 22 is for rabbits, squirrels, gophers, etc- and you'll need a shotgun as well
