All indications are that there has been an increase license applications. In the real world, when your work load increases, you hire more people to keep up the standard of service.
So, apparently, the CFP/CFO don't think this is necessary, and allow the quality of service to deteriorate.
I suggest that every person who comes in contact with a politician over the next little while, lets them know about this situation, and when it comes down to supporting public servant salary increases, we start letting them know how we feel about it.
According to the RCMP, BC CFO license approvals right now, are running 45 days, restricted firearm registrations (date from transfer received to receipt of registration card), is 30 days.
I got a call from Christy Clark's office yesterday looking for my vote in the upcoming BC election. Instead, they got two barrels of verbal rant.
I really honestly don't think I will receive my license before summer is over. I am hoping to be able to buy, have registered, and be able to shoot my first restricted by Christmas.
I know that at some point, this will all be behind me, and that I should have some patience, but I have never seen such a bureaucratic screw around, as the process I have embarked upon.
