Newbie gun fan!

Hey, new forum member from vancouver, heard great stuff about this forum, so thought I would check it out. There's lots of information around. I'm 19, just old enough for a PAL/RPAL license. Probably planning on getting the license in August, any idea which place would be the best/cheapest to get it? Also, I would like to learn to shoot long distances, hopefully to 300+ yards, anyone know where one would find a range capable of that distance? Thanks in advance and hope to enjoy a great time here on the forums.

Hello and welcome. I'm in Nova Scotia. Don't know anything about the Vancouver area.
My suggestion about how to get information about licensing requirements is to call CFC (1-800-731-4000 East Time Zone). They can give you information. Plan to wait on the phone. I'm sure there are members here who can also tell you, but CFC is official, and you might as well get used to talking with them. Once you get started, shooting to 300+ yards shouldn't be a big problem. Enjoy the site.
