Just picked up Dillon 550 in the states with a small supply of lead cast .45, powder, primers etc.
I am in Burlington, Ontario, does anyone have an idea on the best place (or even a good place) to buy this stuff locally? I have seen some fairly good deals online, but I would think the postage would offset any real savings.
Thanks,
Ron

I would say head to Lawry's in Caledonia.

Mind you I am a tad peee'd at them today.

I was in Brantford so I thought I would slip over for some primers.

I arrived at 4:26 just as a lady was getting in a car parked out front.

It turns out they close at 4:30.

She saw me pull in but did not bother to ask what I needed!!

ARGH! Customer service is DEAD in Canada!!

Dunsforo, welcome to CGN and reloading! For a new reloader I would recommend just picking up your reloading components from your local gun store. Most stores should be able to order in your special powder too. Prices might not be the best but you're only going to be buying a pound of powder and a few hundred primers and bullets at a time.

Once you have been reloading for a bit and know what you want start shopping around for price, etc. Talk to your fellow shooters at your club and see where they get their stuff. Might even find someone that has the bullets you need and doesn't need them. I would avoid buying open containers of powder and primers as you never know if it is been mixed up.

Be safe!

God I hate that! I understand that people want to get home and leave work ASAP but when you see a customer coming you shouldn't be hiding! Most small businesses can't afford to be loosing good customers especially when that customer could get the same item, often for less money, at a bigger store. Ya, you might have to stay at the store for an extra 5 minutes and only make $1.00 on a box of primers but you will keep the customer happy and the customer will come back again, etc. Really makes you shake your head.
