Thanks for the input factionrr, it is excellent to hear from someone who has owned/operated a RFB and a XCR~M,,, You say the RFB is the go to rifle for hunting but also mention that the XCR~M is less finicky then the RFB at the range,,, This concerns me regarding the RFB, as I would prefer to not have any finicky issues at all during range time and especially when hunting,,,
I recognize the positive attributes you have mentioned regarding the ease of carry/target acquisition that the RFB's compact layout offers, especially for hunting in dense or difficult terrain, the RFB had me very interested when I first saw it (mostly due to it being a semi/308 with a very short overall length and cool looks, plus being a little different has a plus factor for myself),,,
Factionrr you mention that your XCR~M is your go to rifle for bench style shooting, so how does the RFB compare in accuracy to the XCR~M, there would be a time when my rifle would have quality optics on it, but I'm really only interested in accuracy up to and including 600Meters max, which wouldn't be often and definitely not for hunting (most of my shooting would be done at 300Meters and less),,, I appreciate any input you may have and thank you for your time,,, Cheers
