Buy FIRST .... a good reloading manuel Read it from cover to cover and you will be on your way.So will your money

Start with a good manual and then look into equipment. When you need a new tool look at all the types and styles available and buy the one you like.
There is equipment on the exchange and there is good equipment at some gun shows. I started with a used press and dies, bought a new scale and used a spoon for measuring powder. I have added tools and equipment piece by piece and I am now working on a 3rd set. Why, because it becomes an addiction.

Are you looking at the Lee Loader, or at the Lee Anniversary kit? The Loader is sort of a self-contained press/die that you operate by adding components bit by bit and smacking them together with a hammer, but the Anniversary kit has a genuine press (and everything else you really need except for brass, bullets, powder, primers, and dies). The Loader DOES work, but it's very slow, and I wouldn't suggest it unless you're familiar with the process and are looking for a way to load "emergency" ammo; you can get a detailed load manual that explains each step if you buy the Anniversary kit, and that would be my recommendation, but if you get into reloading any further, you'll probably want to look at replacing some of the kit parts, especially the scale.
