newbie question about a Cooey 64B mag

Hi folks,

First post in this section I think.

I have a neat 64B cooey semi auto. I have a couple of replacement mags. Difference is, contrary to the one that came with the rifle, when installed it's almost impossible to release them unless the bolt is open all the way back.

Is this normal, and if not, how would I fix the problem? Thanks for any advice,

The mags are too tight. File ever so lightly at the notch that holds it in. This should release the pressure.I have 6 of them. Great little guns, but they do like round nose bullets not the rough hollow points

The mags are what is knows as white metal and they work better as they wear. Mine are sloppy and work great.

The Enfields are already broken in and well used.
