Newbie question: does it make sense that my new CZ75 might like some manufacturer's ammo and not others?

In the last few months, I have put about 400 rounds through my brand new CZ in 9 mm. I have used about four different manufacturers:

Wolf
Federal (I think; I didn't keep any boxes)
Remington (I think; I didn't keep any boxes)
American

The pistol liked the first three. No problems at all.

BUT, the American ammo has given me 2 FTFs in about 80 rounds. Instead of going bang it goes click and the slide is jammed. Takes one good hard pull on the slide to eject the live round.

Sounds like the answer is to avoid American ammo. Is it that simple?

i'm no expert to answer your question, but i will have to say yes based on my own expeience.

for example, i have a 22 pistol which eats everything but it FTF the winchester dynopoint EVERY SINGLE TIME!

but again, it has nothing to do with the ammo alone, or the gun alone. it is the comdination of the gun and ammo that causes the problem.

No I don't think so. CZ can take quite a lot of different ammo and has no problem. Some gun do have picky ammo problem because of the design. But some cheaper ammo has less quality than the other and thus create problem. If you reload your own ammo and you can almost sure they go bang every time.
