newbie question about case length gauges

First off i'd like to say thank you to whom ever answers my question as i'm fairly new to reloading. Now my question if a 300 H&H case length gauge will work for the 300 RUM is there any gauge that'll work with the 257 wby??

To have a compatible Lee case length gauge you need the cases to have the same trim length and calibre/case neck opening size. Also you need a lock stud to hold your case to the cutter.

Good news is if there isn't one Lee makes them custom for a cheap price. $15 I believe.

If you are simply concerned with case length, is there a reason a set of calipers won't work?
