I was thinking of buying a .22 handgun. I had a couple before and sold them all since none of them satisfied me:p. I will just name a few: Ruger single six SS and Blue, Ruger markIII hunter and goverment target.

Now, I have my esys on a SW 41 and a SW 617.
In terms of cool-wow factor, value, accuracy, and built-quality, which one should I try to get? Any suggestion? Thank you.

I have a Ruger Mark III Target. Very nice and accurate and fun to shoot. Tearing it down and getting it back together is a bit of a bear until you learn the little tricks to it, but other than that, it is a great little pistol.

I have both (and more) and bought them used after researching them. Both are more accurate than the shooter. Both are easy to clean no tools to take down. My 41 likes Blazers and CCI, the 617 will shoot anything. M41 magazines are not cheap but can be found, speed loaders for the 617 10 shot are a must. Both if taken care of will outlive you. The S&W forum has lots of info on both: http://smith-wessonforum.com/s-w-revolvers-1980-present/

Ruger Mark III. It's probably the best .22 pistol at that price point. Durable, accurate, and relatively cheap. A Buck Mark would probably be my second choice.

If you go for the Ruger Mark III, I would suggest getting the 22/45 (It's a Ruger but the angle of the grip is that of a 1911 in .45).
The market is full of 1911 after-market grips, and I dress mine in so many different grips, that the guys at the range keep asking me, "When did you get that new gun?" over and over. I eventually tell them that I'm not "Trump"-rich..........

Thanks guys for the recommendations.
I think I will stay away from Ruger (I love my Ruger No. 1, but all Ruger rimfire seems having a worse than average trigger).

A 617 (which is more available in the market place) or 41 (seems all sold out in Canada).

If you want a semi in the same class as the 617 the cz kadet is it. I have had Both, still have the kadet. It eats anything, literally 3000 rounds and not a single ftf,fte nothing. Very accurate and a pleasure to shoot. Easy to clean as well.

It's the only semi I know of that is NOT ammo fussy. You can do an easy upgrade to the trigger by swapping out the hammer for a competition hammer. Makes all the difference in the world. Easy to swap out as well.

sounds like a good choice. The only problem is that it is too practical:D.
Thanks. There is one available at canadaammo right now.
The 617 is available at shooterchoice Albterta website.

Thats what I did, printed their add and Epps matched it. Got the 686 4.2" just sweet it feels so right compare to 6". Ooops you want the 617, thats only in 6" but my wife loves her .22.

Backordered one from Wolverine for the sw 41. The guy(Ryan?) has no idea about the possible ETA. That's fine with me:D. I don't need a .22.

I need to spend more time with my rifles anyway.

I've always found the Ruger Mk.1,2,3 to have excellent triggers right out of the box. They eat any ammo they're fed, and are extremely accurate.
