Newbie question about resticted transfer

Just wondering, I just bought a pistol off of a buddy and I was wondering:

How long until the transfer is all done? (live in Bantario)

How can I check the status of the transfer? Or so I have to wait for confirmation in the mail?

I've had them take anywhere from 1-3 weeks. I think you can call to check the status but you may as well wait for the confirmation. The CFC will tel you to check with the CFO and the CFO's office is very unpleasant. (at least they have been when I've called)

Transfers from our place of business (alberta) to ontario usually take 1-3 weeks. When your buddy did the transfer he was provided with a reference number. Just call the cfo and quote your reference number.

mine have all been around 3 weeks withprivate transfers, feel free to call in and check status and ask tehm if all the info is right and if they have it all, so far everytime ive called in it magically JUST got processed before i called lol.
