Greetings all;

I apologize in advance for my question if it was already answered. I did a search but no luck.

Here's the short story: I recently did the CFSAC matches in Ottawa this year, and I am keen to get a better holster for my issue Browning. My unit is really bad on holsters at the moment, and I'd rather not use the ratty old 1982-pattern web holster. I saw some of the better-kitted teams using Serpa and Safariland holsters, and I was wondering if there's a dedicated Hi-Power Serpa model. All my google-ing didn't turn anything up, So i'm wondering if it's possible to use a Serpa designed for a Beretta M92, Just like we use the Bianchi.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pat

+2. And by the way, with the Serpa index finger release your draw will be smooth & natural. I have them for my Kimber 1911 and my Sig P226. Very nice.

Thanks for the info, guys. Yeah, I noticed how they work, and the index finger placement is just so ideal. I was running a basic one-size-fits-all nylon thigh holster and the thumb break on it wasn't all that great. I'm going to see if I can get my unit to cough up some money for the team to get Serpa's.

Thanks again:)

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but I just got a Serpa drop leg holster for a 1911 and I can't seem to get a BHP to fit in it properly.

It looks like the area where the front of the trigger guard meets the holster is too tight. I've tried adjusting the tension screw to make it loose but no luck. Very difficult to get the holster in, and takes 2 hands to get it out once the serpa has locked.

Are there any modifications you must do for a 1911 Serpa to work w/ a BHP?

Thanks.
