newbie question on red dot sight Maverick 88

I bought a "tact up" Maverick 88 with a red dot sight. The sights show three vertical red dots. There is no trade mark on the sights. Is it normal to have a red dot sight with 3 dots instead of 1? Your comments would be welcome. Thanks

Doesn't sound standard to me. I wouldn't be too into any optic I didn't know the brand of either.
