Newbie Question: Replacement Barrels for Mossy 500

I've had the bog-standard 28" Mossy 500 for a couple of years and don't use it enough. Out at the range today I watched a local police force doing some orientation with their reserves, using what I guessed were some Rem 870 shorties.

So, where is the best place to get a short-as-possible replacement barrel for my Mossy, while still remaining legal (I have restricted). Thanks for any input.

I think the shortest factory barrel available is 18.5". Wholesale sports lists them for $80. Fixed cylinder bore, no rib, single front bead.

Do any of you guys know of any 14 or 16" barrels for mossy 500s?

I would like to buy one that was made by a manufacturer to keep my scatter gun non-restricted
