Newbie question: why he told me Swiss Arms CQB is non-re

Two month ago I went to a local shooting club for ask the schedule of hand gun course. I saw a AR15 for rent and handled it. The guy who works in the club told me all AR are restricted. I don’t know that because I only interested in snipe rifle. I said too bad because I want bring it to the woods for hunting. That guy said you can bring this one for hunting, He took a short rifle to me and he said it’s a Swiss rifle etc. It was as long as a M4 and the color was green, that guy said it’s non-restricted, that’s all I remembered.

When I first time to saw the picture of Swiss Arms CQB, I was 90% sure it’s the one I handled in the club. And after I read the some posts I knew all kinds of SG rifles are restricted. Maybe I could hear something wrong because my English isn’t very good But at least I remember he said I can bring it for hunting. I don’t know why that guy told me it’s non-restricted, I don’t see any reason he lied to me because I didn’t seems want to buy a CQB rifle. do I have a wrong memory or he made a mistake?

Well buds the CQB and the Carbine models are "restricted" the regular "Classic Green" or the "Black Special" are non restricted, you would be able to use these in hunting. Contact The Shooting Edge, and the troops there will "fix ya up" Cheers

A barrel > 18.5" is non-restricted. You must have been looking at a SIG Arms Classic Green PE90. Or, the store owner was just confusing you and saying that you could get a SIG Arms CQB in a non-restricted format.

Thank you everybody, I think I must had a wrong memory, they might showed me a PE90. Swiss Arms CQB is a very beautiful rifle, I like it more than M4.

The Swiss Arms rifles come in 3 sizes,
1 - Non-Restricted Models ----- COLORS == (Black Special, Classic Green , Blue Star)
2- Restricted Models ------ ( Carbine, CQB )

"Heavy metal" and the "Red Devil" can probably be special ordered. Talk to TSE .

Heavy Metal was discontinued long ago, and believe me you would not have wanted it. It was very poorly finished compared to the other guns.

Special orders are unlikely to ever get filled. SAN is pretty slow on the regular items, and orders are backed up.
