I am just getting into reloading and I have a question about bullet seating.
I wanted my seating depth to be 3.31 OAL but I set the die up to crimp as well. I never pressured the press enough to crimp the bullet but my seating depth is 3.284. Would this be a factor. I loaded the cartridges from a Lyman manual and the OAL of theirs was 3.25. Should I pull the bullets and reseat them?
The only reason I was going to use 3.31 is because the factory Winchester 130 grain 270's measure that. I need that or less to fit in my magazine.
Thanks for any help
