newbie rate of twist question

I posted a thread earlier about choosing between remington or tikka .308's and now have another question
i was perusing the tech data on the rem 700 vsf and tikka t-3 varmint in .308
and am curious which rifling configuration would be best
the rem has 1 in 12"
the tikka has 1 in11"
will either affect anything ballistically, as i plan to load either 130 or 150 grain barnes triple shock bullets
any replies, much appreciated

The tikka uses the faster twist to better stabilize the heavier bullets (200-210 grain)... not that much difference for hunting applications... it would be a better long range shooter (1000 yards??) with the faster twist.

Any given twist will stabalize a wide range of bullet styles and weights. IMHO there would be no practical difference between 1:12 and 1:11. When bullet length exceeds what might considered normal for caliber, twist is commonly increased to 1:8. Is this very fast twist a disadvantage with light bullets? Not in my experience.
