I'm getting into some pistol shooting and can see i'm going to have to start reloading. Can someone point me in a good direction for a loader, i need it to do rifle as well. I've convinced a co-worker to go in on a loader with me to help cut costs. I'll be reloading 9mm and he's doing .45 will also be doing the common rifle centre fire calibres. Was looking to spend around 400.00
Also looking for a good bullet to use for ipsc and idpa, hints on a supplier? good litterature for reloading?

Thanks

start with the ABC's of reloading make sure you want to get into the sharing of reloading press and accessories

Pick up a reloading manual it will be better then reading the abc's of reloading. Imho that book is a waste of $. Most reloading kits get you up and running. Read the loading manual and watch some videos on line and you are golden.

starter kits is RCBS, Lee and such are all good. If you are bitten really badly, you will come to want a progressive press for pistol loading but owning a single stage is always handy and it is the best place to learn properly. I have stuff from my first reloading kits that was bought 30 years ago and it is still in use.

There was a guy on EE selling a. Rcbs rock chucker kit he got from prophet river with the discount and everything, never used... I just picked one up myself, good deal!

+1 on ABCs of Reloading. An older edition is fine.

Then hit EE and/or EBay for the gear. With your budget, it's probably be a single-stage press.

I just picked up a Hornady Lock N load progressive kit down in the states. Once I get it set up and rolling it should be the t*ts. It should be perfect reloading pistol cartridges of various calibers. But I'm just getting into this reloading myself. Good luck.
