Well, I'm not as newbie as I was some months ago, but still this one makes me blush...

Always used cast lead bullets for my various calibres, until receiving an order of 9mm and .38/357 Frontier CMJ's...I bet you know where this is going...damn, those are a little snug in the 9mm cases, gotta get one of those Lee Factory Crimp dies...dum da dum...wait a minute! Don't tell me I've squeezed a bunch of 158 gr. .38's in there????

Well, at least I didn't shoot them

Too bad you didn't do the opposite then you could have just fired them. I was thinking about seeing how accurate they were (the 9mm in the 38/357) and abandoning buying the 38 cal bullets in favor of the 9mm only.

The accuracy blows chunks!
I have a bunch of 130 gr ".38" cast bullets (they were marked .357 on the container). Loaded a bunch and shot them. All over the place   . Was about to try loading some more when I found the first indicator something else was up. With some of the thinner walled cases, the bullet actually falls all the way in. It was only after seeing this that I mic'd a bunch. Surprise surprise, 0.355  .

Those would have been 130 round nosed lead for the .38 super?

The container was marked "357/38 RN - 750 count" As it was only half full, I disregarded the count #.
They probably are for a .38 super. Its a 10lb dust magnet right now.
