Hi everyone,
I am from the Kootenys, BC. Although currently living in Vancouver.
I have been around firearms since my first .22 pump-action Savage model 1907 at 8 years old. (still have it and love it) Grew up in the country, hunting etc. My dad was a Vietnam vet, served with SOG for 3 tours. He taught me quite a bit about shooting, survival, tracking etc since I was quite young.
I work as a wilderness guide and paramedic, and I am currently trying to go through the process of getting a wilderness ATC for my Glock 21. I also teach avalanche courses.
I joined this board to get more info on a few of the firearms I own. I am also selling my mini 14.
I am very interested in purchasing an 858, so any tips would be appreciated. I have already read the FAQ. I understand there is a non-restricted chromed barrel available...
Any questions about pre-hosiptal care/ first aid , avalanche or survival I would be more than happy to answer.
Thanks,
D.
