How do I know how close my scope has to be relative to my eye? Probably a stupid question, but I can't find it in the instructions anywhere.

Also, how tight should the rings be around the scope? I have them just snuggish right now as I don't want to over do it.

Thanks

The screwes on the rings should just be tight, no toque wrenches needed. What I do with the scope, is put it in the rings with the screws loose, put the gun up and look through the scope and adjust the position of the scope until I get a full field of view, no blacked out areas. Then tighten the screws, shoulder the gun real quick a few times just to make sure.

I tighten the screws fairly tightly...

When you bring the gun up to your shoulder and look through the scope you should first not see any black around the ouside and second you should not be adjusting your head to get to the scope, you should adjust the scope to fit you. Just adjust it back anf fourth. Bring the gun up with your eyes closed and when you open them the site picture should be good for you...
