A few months ago I bought myself a plain jane Savage Mark 2 G and have been practicing firing it with just iron sights as it didn't come with anything else. I have thoroughly enjoyed it but would like to try adding a relatively inexpensive scope to it. I would like to do it myself so I can learn how to do it.
Does anyone have any simple resources on how to select proper components and a decent starter scope, how to mount said scope and also how to adjust it properly? Again I am a total newbie at this since up until now I have always used iron sights so please be gentle but I am eager to learn how to do as much of it myself as I can. Links to walkthroughs or websites would be great.
