Newbie Shooting Areas around Edmonton and using the Ihunter App

I have scoured high and low for answers even on the canadaguns subreddit and used the suggested keywords but there were no concrete answers. Looking for an area around Edmonton to shoot.
A lot of the old Alberta Provintial map sites seem to be down or broken and the one I did find wouldnt chuck me a Crown land map overlay.
Can anyone first confirm for me that a "PLUZ" is "crown land"? Also I downloaded the Ihunter app as people suggested and paid for the public lands subscription.
Am I correct in assuming that anywhere labelled a PLUZ I can go target shoot as long as there are no other posted notices?
Because then I see smaller patches close to Edmonton out by Drayton Valley and Wetaskiwin. Bruderheim was a bust with posted no Firearms signs.

East is The SPFG club, West is the Genese CHAS club. North is the Smokey lake club, all an hour or so from the city. I'm not aware of any crown land I'd be comfortable shooting on that's within an hour of Edmonton.
 
Okay thanks but would rather just go in the bush alone. Curious why you say "not comfortable with". If its legal its legal, or what am I missing.
