I personally prefer dillion/redding but almost anything will load accurate range/hunting ammo once you learn how to use the tool and get comfortable with the process.

Youtube is an amazing source of information that many wished we had back in the day. Once you find press you think you are going to buy, spend some time researching it and watching review videos.

Feel free to PM me your email and I can share tons of pdf books on this subject as well.

Cheers,

Totally agree with GreenBob. 6.5guys, Longrangeonly, Precision rifle network, Panhandle Precision, and Ultimate Reloader are all good resources. I'm sure there are many others. Once you've done as much research as you can, try and find a friend or colleague you trust to come over and help get you set up. There's no substitute for quality, in person instruction.

I appreciate so much all of what I expect is quality advice. So, what is the best single stage I can buy, and what are the best other components to the process that will allow me to turn out quality precision cartridges? I have had two custom rifles built, one in .300 win mag and one in .300 wsm, and I want to find the most accurate loads for each in various bullet weights. What will allow for precision? I also have purely factory rifles (.243, .308, .270 wsm) for which I also want to find the most accurate loads. I will not be loading for handguns.

Good quality single-stage press includes just about any "O" type single stage press. The single stage press is inherently capable of precision because there is no movement or tolerances for movement involved like there is on progressive machines. Turrets must turn and repeatability become factors. Creating a precision turret press is much more expensive and complicated than making a precision single stage press.

The RCBS RockChucker press is good stuff. So is the Lee Classic Cast single stage. It's really hard to screw up a single stage press actually.
