Newbie traveling to Kelowna, BC

Hi all,

I'm relatively new to the shooting​ sports and hunting world. I've enjoyed my time at my local ranges. (Don't know anyone who hasn't) I'll​ have the opportunity to travel to the west coast in mid June and will most likely have the opportunity to take a day off work.

I'd like to spend that time experiencing some west coast ranges. Handgun and long range. Haven't had a chance to shoot past 200y locally.

Are there any locals that can recommend a range to visit? Are there any places that offer non-member visits with rentals? (Won't be able to travel with firearms).

If no rentals available, any willing to hang out at the range for a few hours? Of course, I'll pay for the ammo, etc.

It's too bad you are not coming to the lower mainland/ fraser valley, we would be happy to take you if you were down here, hopefully someone in the Okanagan will step up and take you while you are there, good luck finding someone! At the very least, you are going to one of the most beautiful areas of BC, I'm sure you will enjoy your trip, the Okanagan is an awesome area :)

Thanks for the invite.

I'd love to see more of the west coast, but I'm only there for a few days. Looking forward to hearing from other locals.
 
So just to clarify, are you looking for ranges on the West Coast or Kelowna(Okanagan Valley). Kelowna is not the west coast :)...yet

I guess I should have said "I'm going out west" instead of "the west coast".

I'll be in Kelowna.

Know anyone who is willing to spend some time at the range with me. Maybe give me some pointers?
 
Hi guys,

Closer to the date, I'll be able to lock things down, but it'll most likely be Saturday June 17th. It all depends on when my client will want to scout some locations for our shoot (video shoot not bang bang).

Seems like I'll have some free time on Saturday June 17th. Should be 100% soon. Lots more work to finalize before I say for sure, but is anyone going to a rage that day?
