Iam new to hunting. I just got my hunting and turkey licenses. I am looking for someone to turkey hunt with kinda show me how it's done. I was hoping to go out for the fall hunt this year. I think turkey season opens Oct. 9. I live in southwest Ontario. If anyone is interested send me a message thanks.

The Fall hunt for turkey in Ontario is a very different hunt than the Spring hunt. Not every WMU has a Fall turkey season! In the Spring only bearded turkeys are legal game. In the Fall season any turkey can be harvested. The WMU I hunt in does NOT have a Fall season :(. Try to join a local hunting club. You will have better luck finding a mentor there then on CGN. Best of luck with your hunting endeavours!

Try to read some of these forums and even go back on this one there is a world of information to learn. Its not hard to take a bird but it hard to be successfull continueous.

As stated the Fall season and Spring are two different hunts and tactic's are different as well.

Where is SuperBrad ? he's always on these threads like a cat on a mouse :p

Thanks for the info guys. Iam in WMU 91 and turkey season opens Oct. 9. Iam still looking for someone to hunt with. if anuone is intrested just shoot me a mesage thanks. Iam willing to drive to a different WMU as well. thanks

I could be wrong but I think I remember reading Superbrad got a temp ban. Could be wrong though. He seemed to disappear near the end of the spring season....maybe he lost a battle with a bIg ol' tom. LOL

Be careful of deer hunters in full camo. Last year I had a guy blast away at a turkey in the field. I was only 90 or so yards away and the pellets hit the trees around me
