Newbie with reoading need advice

Hi everybody,

I am new in the reloading world because I have to! I inherited of a beautiful (and old) colt 1902 38 ACP. What I will do is buy a reloading kit (already done with RCBS Rock Chucker) and reload with light loads of 38 Super +P.

My question is: Is the light load of 38 super light enough for a 38 ACP? Or better, anyone has an old reloading book with the right specs for 38 ACP?

Please no messages with comments like: it's the same as 380 auto, or 38 police, or anything else, I've already been through this...

Have you checked Hodgdons online reloading data center?? Might find some info there.

We have a really old reloading book at my club, I'll take a peek next time I'm in.

Sample from my old Hornady manual
110 grn H/point Max load 700X 5.0 gr 1250 fps min 4.4gr 1150 fps
What kind of bullet are you going to use & what powder ?

Found some data in the Modern Reloading 2nd Ed.

I don't know yet. I will have to check what I can buy near here. Near Montreal.

Maybe 125 gr FMJ (any brand)
For powder, I did not checked yet (I just bought the reloading kit and I'm moving next week so I don't want to unpack all the stuff )

Maybe give me the data ou have (38 ACP Max pressure / weight of powder by brand)
It would be a good start.

For the 124 and 130 grain jacketed bullets, I have charge data for Accurate#7, Accurate #5, Accurate #2, Blue Dot, Unique, Herco, Bullseye, Red dot, Green Dot, and Win 231.
