Hi guys I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to tell me what would be a good all round rifle to start into
long range precision shooting also where is a range close to Kapuskasing? Appreciate any help. Thanks gents.

"...close to Kapuskasing..." Hi. Try the Kap Rod & Gun Club at 38 Rod & Gun Lane. The only contact info I could find is this phone number and this guy's name. Mr. Bob Bartlett (705) 335-8066. I'm not sure if the name is still accurate, but the phone number appears on several lists.
They don't have a web site.

Thanks guys Ive taken notes, where else to get advise but
from the pros. This is the greatest site I have ever found on
the net. Thanks Sunray I will be calling them this week.I hope I dont come across as too dumb in front of all the
experience.

"...dont come across as too dumb..." Don't worry about that. Everybody was new at one time. Ask whatever questions you have. The old adage about stupid questions is true. The only stupid question is the one not asked.

Savage 12FV in 223. Weaver bases, Burris Rings. If really tight on cash, Elite 3200 10X. If more funds, then an Elite 4200 variable target scope or a Nikon Buckmaster or Monarch SF.

There is/was a 10fp offere for sale in the exchange for $650 shipped. That'll work.

Reload for max performance with the 75gr Amax, Benchmark, CCI BR4 in Lee collet neck sized Win brass.

You should have no issue reaching 1/2 MOA out to say 300yds and sub MOA as far as you have elevation for.

All the above should set you back from $1000 to 1250 then ammo.

Jerry
