My wife and I are new to shooting. We both go to the gun club and shoot 22cal. rifles Mine is a savage MKll and my wife has a Remington 597 we are wondering what is the best shells to use we like the federal but I here that CIi Stingers are better any ideas what is best to use for accuracy?

I have tried many .22 brands in my 597 and I have to say that the CCI bulk pack, with the dark bullets run great. They work equally well in my Sig Mosquito which is super picky on ammo. The Mini Mags run the best but at an added cost.

Your best bet is to try as many different brands as possible. Each gun will likely perform best with different ammo. Figure out what they like, then stock up in bulk.
Have fun.

I have used a lot of different brands of ammo and most shoot pretty good, I do have one 22 that works best with CCI ammo .

Welcome. My Savage Mk II BVSS really performs well with the CCI .22 LR Mini-Mag ammo. There's a huge difference for me between CCI Mini-Mag and Federal. Huge accuracy improvement with the Mini-Mags, even though they both share the same specs.

This is correct. Guns are a little like cars. You'd think they're all identical, but each one is a little bit different. Grab yourself a 50pk of each on the shelf. Try 4, 5, even 6 brands. Sit down on a calm day and take your sweet time trying to group them as close together as you can. Start short, 25 or 50 yards will tell you the answer.
