hi all,
sorry if this is a repost but im just getting into reloading, ive got a 30 yr old Lyman Spartan single stage press from my F I L & im gona reload .45 ACP, im wondering what tools, etc i need, & how much powder to do 500-1000rds? if this info is already posted somewhere i wuld b happy to look it up myself if someone culd direct me to it, or if theres someone who wants to help out a rookie any info would be greatly appreciated! feel free to PM me if its easier
thanks in advance

it all depends on how much gunpowder you user per shell. using hodgon universal i used 5 grains for a 230grain bullet for 45 acp. there is 7000 grains in a lb, so that's 1400 rounds for a 1 lb bottle.

i assume you only have the press and nothing else?

along with the press you will need;

dies
digital caliper
a good scale
a loading block
a reloading manual
a couple of acro bins for organization
and lots of time!!

Good Luck
