I have a Remington ML and want to reach out farther, like 300 yards. I don't want to break the bank

I'm thinking of a used Remington Ulitmate ML in stainless. How much do these sell for, used? Should I look at something else, used?

I have a TC Omega. Its in a camo thumbhole synthetic stock, fluted SS barrel. With 130 grains(2X50,1X30) Triple Seven and a Winchester Triple Seven primer and a Barnes 250 GR TMZ BT it will literally put the bullets into a very small ragged hole at 100yards. it will hit an AR 500 6inch target with ease at 300 yards. I use a FFP scope. Kahles 318i. Its overkill but its illuminated and very good glass. Has a moa reticle so once you get ur hold overs its either dial or just hold on the proper line. Range at this range has to be quite close cuz its quite a rainbow trajectory.
 
I have a Gibbs muzzleloading rifle, I don't have a scope on it and I use aperture sights. I can shoot a 540 grain bullet out to 1000m.
 
The CVA Paramount has been filling the bill for me for the last couple of years. Mine is in 45cal and I have tested it out to 300m (thats as far as my range allows)and I would have no issues on dropping the hammer on a non spooked standing deer at that range or a little further.

I’ve heard good things of the CVA Paramount. Built specifically for long range.
But, nothing wrong at all either Rem 700 setup. If you already shoot 700’s it wouldn’t be much difference in changeover or feel.
Im rocking the TC Omega Z5 w/Nikon Omega scope as well and the 209x50 Encore (original “26 blued bbl). Both use the same breechplug. Both would shoot out to 300 easy I’m sure. The Omega would shoot better.
A Wx buddy of mine would shoot his CVA Buckhorn out to 250 or further back in the day.
I like watching Idaho Lewis on YouTube shoot his Long Range with a TC Renegade so I’m sure your setup will work.

That’s quite the piece you have there chasseur :D
 
If you're looking at the used market you might consider a Savage ML2 smokeless too. Using smokeless powder you can achieve the same velocities and trajectories as the Remington with easier cleanup afterwards.
 
Take a look at arrowhead rifles out of the US.

I have built about 9 so far using their components and 300 yards is pretty much an easy thing to do. 1/3 MOA at 300 is typical. Can drive a 300 grain pill close to 3k depending on components and if you can handle the recoil.

Worth looking at anyway.

They have some amazing stuff.

Does anyone have an idea what a Remington 700 ultimate ML, used will sell for? I think it's the way I'm leaning because I really don't want to spend over $700 if I can help it.

So you already have a Rem 700 inline?
like mentioned, I don’t think $700 would cover the Ultimate. But with the one Suggested at that price you can add modifications like new trigger, stock etc. as an alternative.
But if you’re patient and keep your eyes peeled, a Rem Ultimate might just cross your path.
