So I have a newer 9mm sub 2000 with the updated front sight (knurled cap on end of barrel) and the revamped trigger. I have the following issues and was wonder how many of you also have or don't have these "issues".

1. The trigger very lightly scrubs against the trigger guard. It causes a two stage trigger feel and slightly increased trigger pull. Doesn't seem to hamper reset.

2. Shoots about an inch low at 20-25 yards with the front sight cranked all the way down using 115 american eagle and fiocchi fmj.

3. Bore is not the smoothest looking (skid-marks?) and an occasional pit or two.

Is this normal for this firearm? Anyways let me know what your experiences are thanks in advance.

I've purchased 9 new S2Ks, 3 of which were Gen 1, the rest Gen 2, only one of those was the newer version like yours. I now only own 2. I found them to be very hit or miss. Some were great, some weren't. One had such a stiff trigger that it pinned my pull weight scale. It was somewhere around 15 lbs. Had some that you could see tooling marks down the bore. I would describe the S2K as garbage, but for some reason I still love them and kept going back.

I have no problems hitting a full IPSC plate at 100 yards. And that's good enough for me. Never put any of them on paper.

Thanks for the info. I haven’t put it to paper yet either but at 25 yards it hits the target consistently an inch or two low with the front sight cranked all the way down (bottomed out). Did any of the ones you have do that?

They are not high-quality carbines, but they are fun. Buddy mag-dumped mine, dropped the mag, and dumped another. "Now that's suppressive fire!" He says. We look at the paper and all the shots are in an 8" circle at 100 yards. Great rangw toy. Shoot it like you stole it!

Hey, not my worst mistake, should have met my first wife, lol.

That's funny!

Back on the topic. I have a Gen 2, I believe before any changes but I was unaware they actually changed anything anyways so not 100% sure on that. Mine shoots great, surprisingly accurate, trigger was a tad on the stiff side and didn't care for the plastic trigger and guard so put in a lighter spring kit and replaced the trigger and guard with aluminum aftermarkets, now it's even better than original. Absolutely awesome little gun. My bore is nice and shiny and smooth. Haven't touched the sights from the factory and can go 10 for 10 on plates from 25 yards out to 75 yards all day long. Haven't tried on paper to be honest, just so much fun on the plates and stuff. The only thing I'd ever change on it is the lack of bolt hold open on empty. I believe I'm shooting 124gr berry's RN in my handloads.
