First attempt at hand making a wood stock for a new project...

Made this with 2x4 scraps that I had lying around...

Note that the bit that should connect to the receiver is still rough.. I haven't gotten the receiver (yet) to properly match it up!

It looks like it has a cracked knot and some delamination by the toe. Are you going english style stock here?

uh.. yeah you lost me there. I just took spare wood I had, and got a 1:1 picture of a wood stock off a 'mystery' rifle and attempted to duplicate it. If this indicates any style, that's purely accidental

Also, delamination?

No.. I don't like then length of the receiver, there's a lot of space between the trigger and magazine

Looks like cedar, better used for sauna benches not gunstocks lol.
