Good for you! Congrats!
How did you go about the hunt?
Were you on your own or with a group?
How much did he weigh?

Nice lookin animal...I'm hoping to get in on two hunts next fall when I go "home" for a visit!

Pete I hunted on my own. I was in an area walking and glassing the open country and saw 5 moose on one big marsh. Cow and calf a cow and two bulls. It was blowing about 50kmh in my face so he wasn't hard to approach. I had a shot from about 150 meters. The hardest part was dragging the quarters to the lake it was easy then to get the quarters the next day

Video youtube retrieving last two quarters

LOL I never seen a guy paddle a canoe so Fast!! LOL
Have you hunted long?
Can you buy a tag or is it a lottery on the Rock?

Don't all canoes have outboards?:)
Yes I have been hunting a long time. I was hunting years ago when you could walk into Simpson/Sears plank down your money and walk out with a new rifle without showing so much as an ID. More than 35 years of hunting

THAT was an AWESOME video! You really had that canoe moving!!!

Cheers
Jay
P.S. Oh ya, congrats on the moose!

Congrats on the moose! Rough day on the lake though! Had snow, sleet and rain when I filled my tags the other day. Gotta love Moose hunting in Newfoundland in October/November! You can get all four seasons in one day! :)
