Just came in the mail yesterday

I bought the SS 10/22 and a Ramline stock from SIR, mags from Nester (thank you!), also I got the PC scope mount, extended mag release, and poly buffer from hawks.

I slapped some of the stuff together and a reddot for a couple pics :D.

The trigger feels a bit weird, but the pull doesn't seem too stiff. It's strange how far the grip is from the trigger, but i'm used to that from shooting the SKS.

Yes that is CGN in the background, lol, I just took the pics a minute ago.

Nice rifle!!!

I got a PC mount from Hawktech as well. I was really impressed, it is a nice solid mount. As an aside Hawktech messed up my order a bit so he threw in a free buffer. Would recommend Hawktech to anyone (along with Rimfiresports and Brownells). They are the best for aftermarket parts/accessories.

Definitely a stretch between trigger and pistol grip, no big deal, I'm using a Tapco stock and it hugs the trigger guard.

I definitely recommend the mods in the 10/22 sticky.

Just installed the extended mag release, that was a good investment!

put in the poly buffer as well, it is a bit quieter when I cycle the action.

Mustang, Porsche, Vet, Camaro and a Judge? Not a clue what's up top. Oh yeah, nice rifles too. :p
CTS-V and a RX-7? And that's a Z8,not a porsche
Not too shabby..but i've always wished they made folders fold away from the bolt handle

It could be, but I had an RX-7 park under my truck once. It looked smaller, and crunchier. :D

The pistol grip does look a little far back, but I've now got a mini that looks very similar in proportion, and it actually feels quite good.

lol it's actually not a folder, just a folder look-a-like; it's the only kind they had at SIR, I figure I'll get it with the rifle to save shipping.

It's a C5 Z06, :p, everything on 2nd and top roll are GM.

Bing, How long ago did you order your SS/SYN 10/22? I ordered mine in the first week of November and got it on the 5th of this month. Did you notce the price dropped about 50 bucks on it, from then until now?

Isnt that a MG next to the mustang on bottom?

oh that's a BMW Z8, it's discontinued now

I did notice the price drop, it's actually one of the reasons why I ordered from them.

I was thinking of getting a blued one at lever, since I can just go pick it up; but 240 for SS and only 25 for shipping, not to mention just one tax (both the ramline stock and the rifle) is just too good to pass up.

I ordered everything in the 3rd week of Novemeber and got it on the 14th of this month.

Wow, that's a pretty big price drop. I paid about $290 +tax/ship. last January for my SS-Syn 10/22 from SIR. I wonder if the price drop has anything to do with Cabelas buying SIR.

Not sure if thats why the prices went down or not, but when I ordered my gun on Nov. 7th they were $284.99 as in the Fall Super Saver flyer. Then when I happened to be messing around on the SIR site I noticed they had dropped to $239.99 sometime at the end of Nov. Dammit :kickInTheNuts:

Congratuatlions Bing ! :)

Ruger 10/22's are great little guns and it looks like you are doing well so far in buying the right aftermarket parts, etc. However, a few more parts to look at maybe in the near future would be a hammer to lower the trigger pull (simply buying say a VQ hammer would lower the trigger pull from close to 8-9lbs too 2.5-3lbs). And next a new barrel would be a great investment. The ruger 10/22's are not renowned for their out of the box accuracy - but for plinking/hunting in at closer distances they can be fine. I would reccomend a GM barrel.

:D thanks

I should do something about the trigger pull; it's not so much the weight of it (which is comparable/less than my sks, so i'm ok with), but the feel of it. That "snap" isn't all that noticible.
