At long last someone is finally making new wood E2 pistol grip stocks for the M14. That company is Law483 in the states. Unfortunately they will not ship those evil pieces of wood outside of the USA:)mad:Arrrgghh!!!).

I see some canadian company's have started making M14 parts, well how bout pumping out some of these, the best of the straightline stocks, the E2 model!!

I got to fire one once, it was VERY controllable and well balanced with clean lines. I ve had the sage, the troy, blah, blah....nothing came close to a nice E2!!

I know id buy several if someone would crank up the woodshop, how about you?

Here's the new US ones.

These new ones from Law are laminated with a thicker pistol grip and have the butt cut slightly different than the original and they use a rubber recoil pad.

They certainly look solid, i'll keep an eye out for a review of these new stocks.

It is very aggravating that our neighbours wont even send us a piece of wood!!

I've been custom making these for about 2 years now. I offer this custom stock modification to existing usgi fiberglass stocks on a regular basis.

I would prefer an Anschutz style laminated stock for my M-14, I'm about ready to try and carve one myself. Anyone know of anyone that could make such a stock?

do you have a similar model to post a pic of?
now that I have someone taking care of the retail aspects of the business, it is freeing me up to do custom work on rifles and get back into my product developing groove. In the new year i am planning on having the mill and lathe set up and will start working on the many items i have designed.
The demand for an anshutz style thumbhole or dragonov type m14 stock is surprisingly growing. Laminate would be really cool ..... I'll keep that one for a 'do at some point project".
Right now I am on the cusp of the final version of my be all end all m14 scope/forward optic mount :D and a little something different for the aluminum chassis crowd. No promises, no hints at when it'll be done...... it's been a rough year hehehe

I like the E2 design as I dont scope my M14's (at least not while i still have 20/20 vision) and i dont need rails for bipods and grips as i shoot prone or off my rucksack.
Keeps things nice and light, recoils straight back and nothing sticks out anywhere. The drawback is they wont take abuse like the regular stock will and originals go for $400-$600US:eek: Lots of E2 stocks have repaired pistol grips. But like I said these new ones are laminate and fatter.
If i was to scope a 14 i like M14docs design, looks like a perfect cheek weld setup.

Thomas's M14 pistol grip stock is made of heavily reinforced fiberglass, with part of a genuine AR 15 lower embedded under the glass [ no, you can't dig it out and make an AR 15 out of it ].

Thomas' stock balances better, moves faster, and is far stronger than a wood E2.
The pistol grip/ straight line stocks are excellent on a scoped SHORTY M14.

Thomas charges a lot for his stocks ...
but as we say in the shop ...
"Speed costs money ...
how fast can you afford to go?"
