Next Revolver Purchase?

I have a S&W 27 with a 6" barrel. I bought it about 5 years ago for $575 plus tax from The Gun Room in Waterloo. I have had some of the newer S&W's in my hand and the quality is not the same as this one. One of the gents that shoot at the range with me bought one of the 9mm PC S&W revolvers; it was not a nicely put together as the 625 that he had that was probably 10-15 years old ( he was disappointed).

I tend to agree from what I've seen. I try not to fall into the old fart habit of thinking everything was better way back when but I do think finely finished and hand fitted mechanical things are far less common today....... and if you can find them labour costs have driven the prices through the roof.

Nice move on the 27 purchase BTW. I'd say you have at least doubled your money.

I love my Ruger Flattop Convertible 45 Colt / 45 ACP, fun to shoot in both calibers... JP.
