Next rifle caliber thoughts !

Okay trying to think ahead , if I was to purchase one more rifle what caliber / cartridge would you add .
It would mainly be used for hunting . I’m covered for what I basically hunt moose and deer but might want something else .

I have a 30.06 and a 6.5 Creedmoor .22 LR . It would be something that’s not wood stocked and stainless or cerakoted metal
Thank You !

Add a 223 sporter to that list and you'll have all the bases covered.

Looks like you "need" a fast stepping 22 centrefire, I am thinking a 22-250 or 220 swift. You are also in "need" of a good upland and small game shotgun-12gauge is the obvious choice, but the 28 gauge has so much more style and class!

Only thing is a lever action or two. You have the top to mid end covered, mid to lower end, you have a 22 now, so next is naturally a lever. Once you get one, it is hard not to add a few more flavors to the mix. A milder 44 mag, or a kicking 45-70, or something of the cowboy calibers. 44-40, 444, 45 colt.

.223 would be my suggestion. Sounds like you have the big game more than covered. 223 more or less covers everything else smaller then a whitetail.

As others have said a .223 is a great addition or maybe even a 7.62x39 to shoot cheap surplus...CZ527 ?? :)

OP, Summing up the answers you got, you have all the available cartridges except the ones you already own. You don't NEED another rifle for your hunting. Get what you WANT.
