Nice gun. Havn't shot a Monte but have handled one, the 20ga. handles like a dream. Have a SuperSport inertia drive that I like a lot. You can't go wrong with the Monte.

I got the monte in 12 about 8 months ago off a buddy... not the gold inlay ... but damn is it a sweet shooter... was absolutely impressed the first time i took her to the trap range... absolutely flawless to date... would recommend it to anyone male or female lookin for a reliable autoloader...

Hows the recoil? I have a Beretta 1201F that uses more or less the same action. It is an excellent gun, light as a feather and handles like a dream, but man does it kick.

I've always wanted an all blued Monte is 12 gauge with a 24" barrel.

I dont think the recoil is bad at all ... I'm not too sure what i would compare it to... its quite light to say the least ... I would have no prob going through a flat or two of shells in an afternoon of trap or skeet without worrying about being stiff in the shoulder after ....
