Hey all, looking for some help deciding what to do next with my rifle. It's a bit of a rescue; found it in the drywall of my parent's new house over the summer and have spent the last few months restoring it. Complete story in the picture descriptions:

Basically my current problems are with the magazine and the sights. I've got a temporary solution with the front sight but it's not ideal (a cut euro 5cent...). The magazine also causes feeding issues occasionally and is missing the pull tab making it annoying to remove. The rest of the firearm functions well, it seems accurate to me (a novice shooter at best).

I also haven't ID'd the model exactly, pretty sure it's a savage model 1919 after a bunch of research but it's still unclear exactly how old it is and which replacement parts I should be looking for. If you guys have any thoughts on what I should do with the firearm at this point please recommend away.

That's what I initially thought too, but mine has open sights and a rectangular ejection port where the NRA version seems to have a more ovaliod ejection port and peep sights.
