I dont think it will over take the 22250. It may have a small cult following much like the old 220 swift though. The way every media outlet is pushing the creedmoor if mass produced rifles and ammo hit the market in large numbers it may surge for awhile. At least until something else comes along

I have a 22 creed.
It's been around for years and years. Nothing new it's just getting more press lately since everyone talk about the 224 valkyrie ####.
It's still a wildcat but now Alpha make brass and soon Hornady will.
What do you want to know about it?
Is it better than a 22-250?- Yes a million time
Is it magic? #### yes it runs on pixies dust and liberal tears and #### rainbows.
More seriouly it drive my 75/80 eld-m at 3400 fps+ and the new 95 smk at 3150 fps. I get 1600 to 2000 rounds of barrel life.
Plug those number in your ballistic app and you'll understand.

I’m sold.
Manufacturers run twist rates that stabilize light bullets in the 22-250. The Creedmoor is built for heavies. One works for both type of bullets the other doesn’t. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand why some of this stuff is catching on.
Its proof that finally common sense and that the shooting masses are coming around. It gonna be a niche cartridge for those that understand ballistics and actually understand long range shooting. High b.c. bullets with a little extra speed. No flies on the 22-250 either..... it just scratches a more common itch.
22creed is basically a factory .22-243 . I hope brass will be available in 10 years. With hornady on board I'm betting it will be. Long range varminting specialty cartridge available over the counter.... hornady for the win!

Manifactured by alpha munition and sold here in Canada by Bighorn sales.

22-250 design is inferior and to be more fair we should talk about 22-250 AI or 22-243.
22-250 Ai is ruled out by many due to fireforming and 22-243 as narrow node and is even worst on barrel throats.
I've shot tons of yotes and always been unhappy even when using the mainstay 52gr/55gr class bullet at 4100fps from the 22-243, it was not uncommon to have squarely hit coyotes get knocked down and then run off to die 150yds later.
Now enter the 22 creed. Alot more efficient case design, easy to form if you too poor to be wise and get Alpha brass..
Main load for yotes is a berger 80gr at 3545 fps and another with 75 eld-m at 3400fps.
Long range load is 95 smk at 3150 fps and it's more efficient than my 6 creed.
Don't give me the bull#### about caliber popularity when you aim for hunters.. Most of them don't even know what they do or what is ballistic at the most basic level... For God sake they don't even know how to use a scope properly..

That 75gr eld load at 3400-3500fps is impressive on many levels. Now with the 70gr GMX bullet I see this as one of the best three niche cartridges. Long range target/steel ringer, laser beam coyote/marmot/woodchuck round, and crossover Varmint/deer/antelope round.
With the BC’s of those 75+ grain bullets, the speed achievable the 22Creedmoor is essentially everything that rifle looneys like Warren Page and others were searching for when they wildcatted the 243, 257, 22-250 and others.
I’m sold on it. I need to figure out a build I can afford.

Just put a McGowen prefit on my PRL rifle and I really like this chambering. Currently, making brass from 6mm Creedmoor and it is a simple process. Look forward to the Hrn brass ready to go.
I am running my Berger 90's at a comfy 2900fps and they are very accurate to 740yds which is the furthest I have shot it so far. Less recoil then a fast 6mm, similar bore life.
Feeding from AICS mags is a no brainer like any other Creedmoor case. That is the biggest advantage over the 22-250... and you dont need to form brass as you do with the 22-250AI. I have owned these 2 chambers as well.
I look forward to see how the predator and PRS/PRL world adopt this chambering once more components and dies become available.

There are now a variety of factory rifles that can accept prefit match barrels. You also have the freedom to spec the barrel to suit.... all at a price far less then a gunsmith installed blank.
