hey all..
im sure you,s have all said.....well next year im doing this..blah blah blah
to help you on the hunt...so whats your new idea,s??
mine is to get myself a black powder to get into a longer season...im going for my turkey seminar to get a spring hunt in..i will be using my reloads for moose and deer..i will try and round up some young blood to do the grunt work of camp,as im to damm old to think i got the strength of the young one,s out there anymore:rolleyes:

Me being 20 I wanna go for my turkey seminar so I can get 2 nice Turkeys this spring. And by a nice tree stand I can set up on 1 of my uncles farms for my first buck kill in 2006 :D

I'm going to load up an archery equipment.I used to do it when I was a teenager and got quite good with them but I haven't done it for 20 years.

I want to get out more for grouse and rabbits. I plan on taking the turkey seminar as well. Definitely want to try for black bear. I will be starting to load my own after Christmas, looking forward to that as well.

Well I still have the late bow hunt for deer, I really want my deer this year but 3 days hunting does not seem to be enough. Next year back out for turkey, mind you I really want to see my Dad get his first, he called in my bird this year, the day before my birthday May 14th only 15 hours after buying my license for the year :). Then clean up the fields of groundhogs, test our some reloads on them and maybe get my little brother out shooting. Do some fishing, then back to the books in Sept, hopeing to get a few days in for deer in Nov.
If I have 1 day to hunt then I will call it a success.

well next year again like everyother year i will be out trying my luck at black bear and deer but was thinking of putting in for moose as well i'll have my own wheels next year to use instead of the company 5 ton truck so spot selection and travel will be much easier and as shotgun and my wife can attest riding in a cab-over flat bed with no weight makes for a very interesting ride on unmaintained roads (never again) my head hit the ceiling to much and with all our gear cramed in the cab no room to move

anyone looking to get a camp going for next seasons or have room for a new guy in the ottawa area e-mail me

I hope to get my old 1899 savage up and running for next fall, complete with cast lead handloads! I have alot of draws that I may get too, but I still have to choose between non trophy sheep, antlered elk, antlered mule deer and helping my wife get her cow moose. Too many decisions!
I am going to focus on becoming a better shot at medium to long range even though I seldom if ever do need to. Just want to be more confident for if I line up at a target 250+ yards away.

Next year as in January/February will find me chasing predators if it's not forty below ;) I may join a friend on a mtn. lion hunt in the Chilcotin in February, but that's as far as I have plans for...yet  ...KF

What would I do differently....easy! FIRST thing is to get my fat ass into shape well before the season starts so that I'm good to go for the long haul. I found dragging deer and stalking 10+ Km's a real pain:eek: I've had a fantastic year for deer but man I sure could have enjoyed it more if I could breath. So having a new born and a desk job sure put me out of shape so back to the gym I go to drop some weight and build my endurance. Second thing I'm gonna do differently in 2006 is spend more time archery hunting...did well this year but could have been much more selective with more time in the woods.

Already ordered the stuff i needed clothing wise for next year's moose hunt. Will set up a quick detach scope mounting system for a higher powered scope at the rear of my Ruger Frontier- the scout scope is great but doesn't have the light gathering capability at dusk & dawn.

porject this year is to learn to Call/ Rattle deer.

After following one big old buck this season and not getting a shot, next year I'm gonna drop the first tasty looking buck or doe that comes my way.

If I stay where I am i'll be hunting big island black bears and tiny blacktails once again. Maybee a Island Elk (draw) that would be nice:D Wishfull thinking. If I move to Kelowna It will be big mulies, with maybe a color phased bear there or maybe a moose!! Ye HAW!! I love hunting!!!!:D

Cheers
