Yes I am hoping to score with my crossbow this fall. There are some likely prospects here. When I bought the property last fall these guys were a big selling point. These pics were taken out of the bedroom window. Who needs a trail cam.

Very odd these deer have not shed their antlers.....

There are some that have shed their antlers. Could be something to do with minerals or food. We have 2 1/2 to 3 feet of snow on the level right now. I think the length of sunlite hours has to do with it too. It certainly affects the rut.

early feburary thats about right for shedding, big ones seem to drop earlier

I have seen mule deer in our area with antlers in late March.Most of the whitetail are bald by that time. I'm just waiting to pick up the sheds.

I've found a few but here's a few pics of one I'm hoping fills out quite a bit over next summer. He'll need to put a solid 30" on before I'll consider him as a potential target for next year but there are few who will say that if they come across him during the season..

It's tough to tell from the pics but he has a 7-8" drop tine off the left side and a sticker off the right G2 that should push 4-5". He needs to pick up his typical frame beyond 180 and grow a few more stickers!

I found two sheds yesterday. One bigger 5 point and one small 3 point. Hopefully I can get the mates and match them up.
