First off, I'll say this. I do not have one of the newer NF with the Velocity Reticle. However I do own an NXS I purchased in 2007.
While checking out the NF website I was flipping through the Velocity Calculator for this newer reticle pattern. I noticed a slight discrepancy from thier webpage info, and I see no product number mentioned, although the title appears to be the same. According to thier G1 calculator there is a difference of BC of the Lapua FMJ-Lock Base bullets from 2009 and in 2011. With the earlier one noted at a BC of 0.525, and the later year of manufacture of 2011, a BC of 0.498. I know this is slight, but I want to know, exactly why there is a noted difference.
This is mysterious for what I thought to be the same bullet, number B476. Again I'll say it, I noticed NF did not post the specific Lapua product number on thier pick list.
Email sent to NF asking for an explanation.
Anyone here with insider info???
