NFLD bear hunt question

Good day, my father and I are going moose hunting in NFLD.

He is posted to N.S. but was born and raised in nfld and has a nfld hunting license and got an either ### moose tag this year.

We decided we should also buy a bear tag in case, however online it says all applications for tags must be received prior to june 29th.

Except my uncle who lives in NFLD just went in and bought a bear tag yesterday.

Is there any way for us to buy a bear tag online or via phone?

If he applied online for his moose online he can do the same for his bear. If not he can mail it it.

The deadline is for those who want the license for the first day of the season.

What area ya got?

My old man is gonna call them tomorrow see if he can do it by phone. We read the PDF but were too dumb to read the sentences after explaining that it's only if you want the license ahead of time...

If he is eligible to hold a resident big game license he can use the login ID and password located on the bottom of his licence, go to the Wildlife website and log-in, go to the new applications link and follow the links to buy the bear license. All he needs is a credit card. He should have the licence within the week. Just had a new one arrive on Friday for myself for another MMA.
 
Your bear license should be good island wide, just like small game, buying them for different areas is a cash grab plain and simple. If a bear is taken then the area is recorded and passed along to Wildlife along with the skull. Simple and easy.
