Found this little gem a week or so back. A Smith and Wesson 5943 SS (short slide version). 59 series alloy frame, steel slide with Novak tritium sights and a 3.5" barrel, DAO. A bit of a rare piece and even rarer new in box. Now if could only find that elusive 5946. ETA: Hey, not bad for post #2000

Drooool. That's something a few of us have been looking for. It's a true DAO correct?

I sold my double stack 6906 because I found the double action reach a little too far but these are supposed to be a little shorter.

DAMN....If I find that 5946 before you do its MINE!!!

WTB - S&W 5946...I'll pay more than Sparrow will...:D LOL

ROTFLMAO

Ya, but now you have "no life"! :p

It looks to be in perfect shape but I really don't care much for the colour of the frame or the circle on the slide. What kind of finish is that?

Is that really the only way they could make the slide with those covers on the side of the slide or was it just a cheap way to use the slides from the models with the safety?

And lucky for me, I don't have 12(6) so I don't need to worry about your race with Strangeday! :onCrack:

I think it's hot! I believe the frame is anodized aluminum. I don't think the de-#### lever cover looks bad but it probably was done for cheapy-ness of manufacturing. The only other models I've seen had stainless slides but I like blued slides.

I'm already trying to figure out how I can buy it with no money from a recent handgun-buying binge.:D

Just re-read the regulations Fudd, you had better take you non grandfathered ass out of this thread or you can be charged with posting without the proper endorsement...:evil:

I think it looks great too. I just pulled back the wax paper and all the papers are in there including warranty card and unopened cleaning kit. I am going to resist shooting it as long as possible, maybe a whole week.:D

At the speed of the Right Offer dude, you know my motto. Don't get attached to the inventory.

In other words, he'll keep it 'til Strangeday opens his wallet wide enough, or pulls something more irresistible from the Fort Knox in his basement. I hate you guys, but in a good way :D ( yes, I'm jealous but I've learned to live with it)

PS. beautiful Smith.
