Hi! Got to shoot my Norinco M14 22" for the first time (i didnt want to touch it till M14 clinic but had a friend who wanted to shoot it so could say no) and it would not eject casings i shot around 20 round of PMC 147gn and Federal 150gn, not a single case got ejected, i could feel action cycle but, but it would always push cases back in to the chamber, and would not reset the trigger, didnt want to shoot anything hotter or heavier because of all those stories guns blowing up when shooting actual 308 thru it. Would you guys know what might be the problem? :(

Tighten up that gas plug after greasing the crap out of the bolt lugs, bolt raceways, op rod track, op rod guide? And finally check your spindle valve position (up and down slot).

For those of you who have attended my clinics, this reminds of a little prank we used to pull on the firing line! Heeere kitty, kitty, kitty!

Get back to us! Keep us posted !

Cheers,
Barney

Gas plug tightened ?
Did you clean the bolt face and ejector of all the cosmoline grease?
Did you lube up your op rod?
Is there any binding or rubbing when you pull back on the action?

That's all I can think of. Good luck

Thanks for help guys, taking it apart right now, i did clean the hell out of it when i bought it, but might it of put it together wrong :redface::redface: , i did check valve, when i was shooting it, it was as tight as i could tighten it up with my fingers, will post some pic soon! Thank guys :) !

Are you saying that the bolt is extracting the cases but cycles them back into the chamber?

This is odd...I can see the ejector not kicking the cases out sideways but I would have thought that the bolt coming forward would have tried to pick up a new round out of the magazine...were you firing single shot???

it sounds like the gun is short cycling the action. the brass neck is not coming out of the chamber to kick out so it just goes back in. this would also explain why the bolt was not picking up the next round.

need more power if everything is in good working order.
are these arounds light?
