NIce Ar and black rifle company

:) Welcome.

Glad to see a face NEW to Black Rifles.

Your best friend in the coming months will be the Search Engine. It will help answer so many of the questions you will have.

You might also want to check Questar. He brought a bunch of SR-15's in last year, and has more either in stock or on the way. He also has a few assorted parts too.

So not so much of an export ban.

I have one of their fine firearms. Here are a few pics.

I got mine from Questar. Couldn't be happier with the service and will be a long time customer, along with Armseast.

Here's mine. SR-15 E3 IWS with Magpul MIAD and UBR, Nightforce 1-4 x 24 in LaRue SPR 1.93(borrowed from an Iraq vet for now :D), and since the pic was taken, I added a LaRue FUG vert forgrip and VCAS sling.

Couldn't be happier with the gun. It shoots like a dream and to me, was worth every penny.

Awesome.

I had someone with much more experience with the system put a few rounds through mine, and he also came away very impressed.

If you're ever in the Ottawa area, look me up and I'll try to book one of the ranges for some trigger time.

One of the biggest draws for me is the ambi controls. I added a KAC ambi mag release to one of my ATR lowers, and am looking for a good ambi selector next.
It's nice getting a gun that has everything built in. :)

How do the SR-15s shoot guys?

I have only had time to take it out once since I have bought it cause of stupid turnaround at work so I am lucky to have days off. But when I did take it out for a very quick rough sight in. I was shooting pretty good with it. I need to properly bench it to see what it can really do. It will have to wait till late September for that though.

It's a fairly light gun and nice to shoot offhand and it's well balanced, probably due to the barrel profile. It's not as accurate as a Noveske though, but I wouldn't expect it to be.

Thanks, will do!:)

I'm liking the ambi controls too, but I'm so used to the standard controls on an AR, It's going to be a struggle to re-learn them on this one.

OK had a chance to shake mine out. Mounted a 2.5x10 NXS in an ADM Recon mount, and zeroed at 100m and moved back to 200, 300, 400 & 500m
Accuracy for a 16" working gun is very good in my opinion. Two separate groups at the 500m mound:

That's nice at 500. VERY nice! I know some shooters that couldn't do that at 100! lol

For me, the ambi controls are a huge asset. I'm one of those 'different' shooters that's right handed(writing, shooting pistol, wiping my ass, everything), but left eye dominant.
So all my long and sub guns are shot left handed. And while I can make a right-handed gun work, it's nice to have the controls so I can access them more efficiently. :)
