Nice reloading blocks, but no better in function than my cheap RCBS plastic ones that do the same job at at much lower cost (to buy) or produce (considering the worth of your time) on your own. Kind of like making your own aspirin tablets, IMHO....

You know how to make aspirin tablets? FS

It's used by competition shooters in timed events. They want to keep their eyes on the target and the flags. They're not interested in putting a fired round in a hole. They throw them in there as they're getting a loaded round out.

I like the MTM or Frankford Arsenal ones.

I like them because they are sturdy and that they hold 50 rounds. The RCBS ones would be OK if they held 50 instead of 40.

Some people like being surrounded by aesthetically pleasing, well made things. You spend several thousand dollars on a benchrest rifle, several hundred on a rest, thousands in ammo and gas to drive to competitions, and you're happy with a $5 plastic ammo tray?

Exactly. If given the opportunity, and money was not an issue, I would have some of those nice blocks over a plastic one. Purchased once, good for your life and handed down to your kids.

Its like owning a $120 Sinclair Priming Tool instead of a $15 Lee Priming tool. Both do the job, but the Sinclair one is beautiful to look at, and probably will last a lifetime.

Any of you machinist guys feel free to mail me a nice block one. :D:D

I would pay for one made out of aluminium.

In the Benchrest World there is the bling factor as well as how accurate the rifles are. Like the guys mentioned above when running a group in a condition the shooter does not want to worry about picking up a fired case so they make sure they are out of the way. For myself I shoot left loading and have a right eject. I do not have that worry. I just pick the unfired rounds off of my towel or out of the raised block at the loading port.
