TM75: Yes, well aware of the reversal. I catch quite a bit of that, sometimes on the military channel they show a lot of "left hand" bolt actions. I did notice one soldier actually shooting left handed with a RH bolt, though.

On one of the "Die Deutsche Wochenschau" news reels there was a soldier in Italy firing out of a trench left handed (with a k98). He would fire then reach over the top of the reciever and rack the bolt with his left hand, but he was damn quick -faster than I can rack a K's bolt and im RH.
I have NO IDEA why some book layout guys will horizontally flip an image. I suspect it's some artsy-fartsy drive toward aesthetics that compliment the layout of the text or some such garbly-gook. I cringe every time I see the cover of "Enemy at the Gates"
Wanna see something that makes me cringe even more?
This sold on Gunbroker last week. Someone in the US cut up a legit, transferrable pre-GCA68 MP38 in STONE MINT condition to sell it as a PARTS KIT. Evidently they did not know the value before doing so - IDIOTS.
One of the fastest Enfield shooters I know, Jim F, won the Bolt-action cup at CFSAC in about 1996, he was a leftie, and damn could he work the bolt. It's impressive to see a leftie shoot a rightie gun, especially when they know what they're doing.
